The 3 guys got up there, but it took all I had strength-wise and concentration-wise. My shoulders were very sore and my hands very blistered by the time I was done.

The tag line stays attached to the tower and is exposed to the elements. Every morning a good rope is strung up by attaching it to the tag line and running it through. The 3 painters are sent up and left there all day to do their thing, and then taken down one at a time around 3pm. Then the good rope is pulled in and reeled up. This is repeated every day, because they have to take care of the good rope. There is no safety back-up rope if it breaks.
