There is only one other town on Bonaire, and its name is Rincon (pronounced ring-CONE.) They were having a festival, and Brad and his wife Sandra took me there to go meander around and taste some of the local foods. Goat stew is a local staple, and I tried it at this house-turned-street-restaurant in this photo. It also came with some fried bananas and a cornmeal thing that was a lot like Italian polenta.

I guess I came to Bonaire at the right time. Everyone has off Thursday and Friday for the Rincon Festival, so I started out my gig here with Trans World Radio with a 3-day work week. I'm thankful for that, because it gives my blistered hands time to heal before having to hoist painters up the radio towers again next week!
