The automation room. This room replaces a whole wing of the studio, where radio programs were run on reel-to-reel tapes. Now there are 2 stacks of audio equipment and 2 computers that run 2 radio broadcasts. 800AM is the main one that reaches the Caribbean parts of South and Central America, and there's a low-power, local 89.5FM station that is just for Bonaire. Programs come in on the internet (FTP) and via satellite, and Brad and Donna set the program schedule to run overnight. So the machines you see here blink away all night, sending out Christian radio programming, with no one around. Apparently if the system detects a problem and there's "dead air", the guys get an automatic page and they come in and fix it, but otherwise it all runs on its own.
