
This ruins was at one time a research facility with a small lighthouse. The other building has no doors or windows all around. Climbing up on some rocks and taking a peek in the top, I could see it was smoothly cemented on the inside, so it was probably a cistern to hold water.
Dean,I see you mentioned the old lighthouse was used for research at one time. I wonder if there are any mountain bike tire companies out there that would pay us to do some "testing research" for them a few weeks out of the winter each year. What with the cactus and all that smooth (not) coral surface out there I bet you could soon find some real winners and loosers fast.
