Today I had lunch at De Bonairiaan Lunchroom. It's a restaurant where children with learning disabilities work. I'm guessing they are teaching them skills like waiting tables and preparing food so that they have at least some good skills for the workforce if their regular classroom learning doesn't work for them. The kids were roughly 8 years old or so. I had a good tuna salad sandwich on a big hoagie style roll with lettuce/tomato/onion/cucumber slices for only 4.75 Guilders, or something like $3.

Everything is open-air here. The dining room is in the patio area.
Flamingos in the salt pans. Real ones, not the plastic lawn ornament ones. :)

Pardon the poor image quality -- the camera was on high digital zoom.
Flamingos and some other little wading birds in the salt pans. The little guys in the forground didn't like me much and squawked the whole time I took their picture.
